modeling pastes can do in three ways.
1) Mixing gum paste and fondant equally
2) Echandole cmc to fondant .
3) Performing playdough recipe


The difference between modeling paste and fondant is modeling clay that hardens and has a denser texure. This helps us bear the weight of the figure in the modeling.
I, for small figures, do not use modeling paste, fondant use only because I use cm not need to model small figures.
For example, to make the clown, I had forgotten the cmc in the store, so I had to mix with gum paste fondant. It is a great modeling clay. For shoes which is the more weight you will use DROP gum paste and fondant cap would no longer support any weight almost everything was fondant with a pinch of modeling clay.

MODELLING PASTE Ingredients: 5 tablespoons

water


10grs

neutral gelatin 1 tbsp sugar 1 tbsp



glycerin 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening (or oil release agent)

tsp essence 750 g of icing sugar 1 tsp
CMC




Preparation:

Soak gelatin in water for 5 minutes, take a bath, add the sugar, glycerin after mixing to incorporate shortening, add the essence, after all that has been mixed, remove from heat.
Mix the sugar and CMC, and gradually added to the mixture ...
Knead until a smooth and soft texture.
